It's been some time since I have felt creative. I don't know why that happens but I guess it's because life happens. What I mean is that the more serious aspects of life take over leaving me with little or no time. Then, when I get a bit of inspiration, it takes me a long time to get into it and disappear.
That's what happens when I create. I disappear and become whatever it is that I am creating at that moment. And, just like I am hard on myself, always giving it my all and not accepting second best, I do the same with what I'm making. I have found myself taking a piece apart or repainting a canvas after having finished it. I don't know....
So, I guess this is why I'm trying something new to see if it will spark something inside of me. The hunger to create is there, I just haven't been able to channel it!
I decided to try something basic; something that I'm able to complete in one sitting instead of having to come back to it several times. Also, I'm going to work with media that for the most part is already out there and doesn't require me to delve too deeply within me.
I love Alex and Ani! Yet, their price was a bit high for me. I love layering bracelets! And, when it comes to these, the more the better. One just doesn't quite do it for me. So, I took out my pliers, wire cutters, and wire and practiced, practiced, practiced. Then I got the stamp of approval from my cousin who said, "You can't tell the difference!" I was excited because she owns quite a few of these and would know. Since, I have created several to wear.
My cousin's compliment and advice got me to where I am now.
I have become enamored with two types of bracelets that are very popular nowadays. One is Keep Collective. If you are familiar with it, you know how pricey they are! Well, I decided to do my own take on the bracelet. I have searched high and low for quality, affordable materials that are within my reach. And, yours!
I also love Noosa! I love how easily they are to personalize and mix and match! These too, however are more than I want to pay for a bracelet.
So I am going to give both of these styles my own twist. I am especially excited about creating my own chunks. And I can't wait to take your ideas and inspiration to create your one of a kind bracelet!!!
